Ira Krivit
Director of Research

Ira Krivit joined CPEX Real Estate in 2009 as the Director of Information Services. He will be responsible for providing a broad perspective to market information and market analysis, and continue to build communication tools that help position CPEX as a leader in real estate services. Ira’s strong background in valuations and financial analyses will help the expansion of this cross-platform division which supports the various business lines at the firm.

Ira Krivit began his real estate career as an Associate Developer for Park Slope’s Gaunt Development, which specialized in gut-renovations of brownstones along the then-emerging Fifth Avenue corridor, converting them to coops and selling them to first-time buyers. In that capacity, he was instrumental in managing day-to-day operations including site analyses, J-51 applications, construction loan draws, project pro-formas, and various other development responsibilities.

From 2003-2006, he took his development experience to East Coast Capital, where he continued his operational work for projects located throughout New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. During that time, Ira received his Masters of Science in Real Estate at NYU, with a focus on Development. While a student there, he took over the leadership of the Entrepreneur & Investors Group, a student-run group which was responsible for bringing many active New York Developers to speak to students and share their experience.

After NYU, Ira worked at an established real estate brokerage firm as a broker in the Brooklyn Heights office. While at the firm for two years, Ira closed 12 investment sales transactions for a total aggregate value of $20 million.

Ira was born and raised in Bellmore, Long Island and attended Purdue University in Indiana.
