Eric Altschul joined CPEX Real Estate in 2008 and has focused his efforts on Leasing retail, office, and community-use properties throughout New York.  He has spent the last three years representing landlords in procuring tenants for the lease of their space.  Eric has in depth knowledge of the New York market and has proven to be a great asset to owners.
 
Eric began his real estate career when he went to work for Massey Knakal Realty Services as a research analyst in 2005.  While at MKRS Eric conducted studies and produced reports on the commercial investment sales market throughout New York.  He was recognized for his thoroughness and hard work in 2006 with the MKRS President’s Award.  Looking to further advance his career, in 2007 Eric joined Tim King’s leasing team.  His previous and current responsibilities include market research, valuating leases, preparing marketing packages, client reporting, and executing the lease of properties for landlords.  Eric has experience in negotiating transactions with national, institutional, and local commercial tenants. 

In the last two years the team has been responsible for the completion of 25 lease transactions in New York totaling 125,000 square feet of retail space and 20,000 square feet of office space. A few notable transactions have been completed with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Genersal Services Administration, Key Food, Army and Marines Recruiting Center, Boars Head, Allied Barton, Metro PCS, Brooklyn Philharmonic, Bargain Hunters, and We The Free a subsidiary of Urban Outfitters.

Eric graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science.  While he was a student at Washington University, Eric along with a colleague co-owned and operated a video rental business with an on campus retail store named South Forty Video.  He was responsible for marketing, sales, inventory, and ultimately the sale of the business.
 
Eric was born and raised in Los Angeles and currently resides with his wife on the Upper West Side.
